Case Studies: An Experiential Learning Opportunity

Professor White feels passionate about creating experiential learning opportunities that help millennial students understand the workforce and the economy by applying creative problem-solving skills. Students will be responsible for addressing the issues that the organization presenting the case is facing.

The solutions presented should include an approach that leverages the group’s collective passion, creativity, and talent to address global problems. All of the basic functional units of any organization must be represented by the interests, skills and expertise of the students participating in the case study.

STEP 1: Please complete the survey below to help aid in the distribution and assignment of roles.

STEP 2: Upon completion, please visit this link to acclimate yourself with the context of the Case Study. Take a couple of minutes to read the Word document titled “FAMU Case Study”.

STEP 3 and 3a: From there, please go to www.mindmup.com and create a new map that synthesizes that you learned from reading the case study brief. Please also include at least one question that you need clarification on from what you read (not on the logistics of this as an assignment). That question should be referenced as your “Muddiest Point”.

STEP 4 and 4a: Students in the 2 pm class, create an account on Slack and post the link to your concept map as a Direct Message to Professor White.
